Father Morgan Rice, CSB Installed as Pastor of St. Basil’s Catholic Parish

Parishioners of St. Basil’s Catholic Parish and the St. Michael’s community officially welcomed Father Morgan Rice, CSB as the church’s 30th pastor in its 161-year ministry. On Sunday, October 15, the Most Reverend Robert Kasun, CSB, Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Toronto, installed Father Morgan Rice, CSB as pastor of St. Basil’s Catholic Parish in Toronto, Ontario.
Father George Smith, CSB, superior general of the Congregation, presented Father Rice to Bishop Kasun, and Father Norman Tanck, CSB, associate pastor at St. Basil’s, read the letter from His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, appointing Father Rice as pastor of St. Basil’s. Following Father Rice’s profession of faith and oath of fidelity, Bishop Kasun led him to the stations of the baptismal font, confessional, holy oils, the altar, and the presider’s chair.
The mass was followed by a reception held in Macrina Hall.
