Basilian Scholastics Receive Minor Ministries in Colombia
January 9, 2017

On January 2, the Feast of St. Basil, four Basilian scholastics were installed in the Ministry of the Lector. Father Francisco Amico, CSB presided over the installation ceremony in Colombia. As newly installed Lectors, Javier Higuera CSB, Eduard Padilla CSB, Carlos Rodríguez CSB, and Nelson Timiná CSB are called to meditate more deeply in God’s word, to proclaim the Word of God, and to instruct persons in the faith.
Conferring ministries during formation helps students of the priesthood grow into the life of ministry that they have been called to by God.
