Fr. Kevin Mannara, CSB Leads Annual St. John Fisher Spring Break Service Trip – Rochester, NY.

March 22, 2024

This spring break, St. John Fisher students, accompanied by Fr. Kevin Mannara, CSB, took their annual spring break service trip. The program attendance has grown from 5 students to nearly 40 since Fr. Mannara became Director of Campus Ministry seven years ago. Paid for with money raised by the participating students and supplemented by several donors, SJF Campus Ministry finds opportunities for hands-on work with people in need, ranging from packing food at a food bank or serving lunch to people to working on a Habitat For Humanity house. This year the trip was to Cincinnati, Ohio.

“It’s an important experience in campus ministry; most of the present ministry leaders and vocation calls have emerged from those trips. It touches the students’ lives in multiple ways because they see the impact of the work that they do. The students have fun, and they help people.” Fr. Mannara said.
