St. Thomas Begins Year with Holy Spirit Mass
September 16, 2025

As the University of St. Thomas begins a new academic year, the campus community gathered for the Mass of the Holy Spirit — a cherished tradition that invites God’s guidance, wisdom, and grace at the start of every school year.
Rooted in the Basilian heritage, this Mass reflects the values of faith, learning, and community that have long shaped UST. It is a moment to pause, reflect, and come together in prayer for students, faculty, and staff alike, asking for inspiration and strength for the months ahead.
The Mass serves as a reminder that education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about forming hearts and minds, fostering growth, and building a supportive, faith-centered community. As the new year begins, all are encouraged to carry the spirit of this tradition into their studies, work, and relationships on campus.
May this school year be one of growth, discovery, and meaningful connection, guided by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
