St. Joseph’s College Opens Women’s Residence
August 28, 2015

Students have begun moving into St. Joseph’s College’s new Women’s Residence, which celebrated its grand opening on September 3, 2015. Located in the heart of the University of Alberta campus, the residence will provide housing for 284 female students. Its residents will experience the richness of university life while living in a supportive, single gender environment.
The opening of the Women’s Residence is in response to the College’s mandate to provide both men’s and women’s residences. The Basilian Fathers of St. Joseph’s College including Fathers Terence Kersch, CSB, Glenn McDonald, CSB, Don McLeod, CSB, and Maurice Restivo, CSB were involved in this project. St. Joseph’s College new Women’s Residence will be the only all-female residence available to students attending the University of Alberta.
