Scholastics Bishoy Dawood and Daniel Ryan installed into the ministry of Lector – Houston, TX.

Scholastics Bishoy Dawood and Daniel Ryan were installed into the ministry of Lector by Superior General Fr. Kevin Storey, CSB in the Congregation of St. Basil on February 5th, 2024.
The ceremony was held at the Basilian Residence of Keon House, in Houston Texas.
A lector reads the passages from sacred Scripture (except the Gospel), during Mass and other sacred celebrations, recites the psalms between the readings in the absence of the cantor, and may also direct the congregation in song.
We wish Bishoy and Daniel the best of luck in their new ministry, and pray for them:
Holy Father, grant Bishoy and Daniel the wisdom to discern your will, strength to lead with integrity, and humility to serve with love.
May they be faithful stewards of your word, proclaiming it boldly to all who gather to worship. Amen.
