We joyfully celebrated the Incorporation of three Associates as they begin their journey in Mexico. This important moment marks the start of their path of formation and commitment within the Basilian community.
An Associate is someone who, while not a professed member of the Congregation of St. Basil, chooses to live closely with the community, sharing in its spirituality, mission, and daily life. Associates participate in prayer, ministry, and formation, deepening their faith and contributing their gifts in service to others.
The three new Associates have already spent two weeks at Casa San Felipe in Tehuacán, where they have been fully immersed in Basilian life. Their days have been filled with prayer, faith formation, and the experience of living in community. Alongside these spiritual and communal practices, they have also taken part in the practical work of remodeling the house—an effort that reflects both teamwork and dedication to their new home.
These first weeks have shown that the Basilian way of life embraces every dimension: faith, learning, service, and community building. As the Associates continue their journey, we look forward with hope and gratitude, trusting that their growth will bring blessings both to them and to those they serve.
