Father Kevin Storey Headshot

Father Kevin Storey, CSB, Superior General

Father Kevin Storey, CSB was re-elected Superior General in July 2022 for a four-year term. Previously, he ministered at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas since 2004, first as a math teacher and then in 2012 he was appointed as the School’s president. He has also served on the General Council as Second Councillor since 2010.

Born in Madras (now Chennai), India, Father Storey came to know the Basilians as a high school student at Michael Power High School in Toronto, Ontario. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 27, 1992 in St. Basil’s Church in Toronto. He holds a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College; a Master in Pastoral Counselling from Assumption University; and a Master of Education, Administrative Leadership from the University of St. Thomas.

Father John Huber, CSB, Vicar General

Father John Huber, CSB is Vicar General of the Congregation of St. Basil and also serves as the director of the Basilian Network for Education and the New Evangelization. He currently resides in Toronto. He was born in Rochester, New York and attended Aquinas Institute when it was run by the Basilian Fathers. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. John Fisher University, a Masters of Theology from the University of St. Michael’s College, a Master of Arts from Middlebury College, and a Doctorate in Catholic Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco.

He has served in several Basilian high schools, including the Aquinas Institute of Rochester; l'Intercollège Saint-Denis in Annonay France, Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, California; and St. Thomas High School in Houston where he served as principal; and Detroit Catholic Central where he served as principal and then president. He sits on the boards of two Catholic high schools as well as the Board of Directors of the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Father Morgan Rice, CSB, Second Councilor

Father Morgan Rice, CSB is serving his third term on the General Council of the Congregation of St. Basil, and his first as Second Councilor. He was ordained a priest on November 21, 2009 in his home parish, St. Pius X Parish in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of St. Michael’s College. His first appointment was as Parochial Vicar at St. Kateri Parish in Rochester, New York for eight years. He currently serves as pastor of St. Basil’s Parish in Toronto, Ontario.


Father Mora Medina, CSB

Father Pedro Mora, CSB, Third Councilor

Father Pedro Mora Medina, CSB is serving his first term on the General Council of the Congregation of St. Basil as Third Councilor. He has served as Superior in Colombia and Director of Scholastics in Colombia since 2020.

He studied Theology at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. He was ordained on January 2, 2004 in La Parroquia el Ecce Homo in Medellin, Colombia, where he had served as a deacon. His priestly ministry includes appointments to La Parroquia San Basilio in Medellín and La Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Cali.

Father Paul English, CSB, Fourth Councilor

Father Paul English, CSB was elected the Congregation’s Fourth Councillor in 2022 and is in his third year as Chaplain at Houston’s University of St. Thomas.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts from St. John Fisher College and Master of Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 11, 1985 at Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse, New York and has been involved in Hispanic ministry at Ste. Anne Parish in Detroit, Michigan and St. Anne Catholic Community in Houston, Texas. He served as campus minister at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York for 10 years and as pastor of Saint Kateri Parish in Rochester until 2019.
