Juan José Ortiz Torres, CSB Renews His Vows

The Basilian community in Mexico celebrated as Basilian scholastic, Juan José Ortiz Torres, CSB, renewed his vows on Thursday, June 24. The vow renewal took place in the chapel of the Casa de Oración Octaviano Márquez y Toriz in Puebla was attended by the entire Basilian community in Mexico who had gathered together for the Basilian Latin American Summit. Father Paul Walsh, CSB, superior in Mexico, received the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
Juan José has finished his first year of theology and will be entering his second year of theological studies at the Universidad Pontificia de México. He has been involved in pastoral ministry at Parroquia San Lorenzo in Tehuacán. He also initiated a radio program on the local Catholic radio station in Tehuacán about vocations.
