Fr. John Huber, CSB Celebrates Silver Jubilee of Ordination
August 21, 2017

Father John Huber, CSB celebrated his silver jubilee of ordination surrounded by the communities that have supported him throughout his priestly ministry. Father Huber currently serves as the president of Catholic Central High School and a councilor on the Congregation’s General Council.
The celebrations began on Saturday, August 12 with the celebration of the Eucharist at his home parish of St. Pius X in Rochester, New York, the location of his first mass. Concelebrating were Father Paul Bonacci, the parish pastor; and Basilian Fathers, Fathers Al Cylwicki, CSB and Tom Duggan, CSB. The Mass was followed by a reception that was well attended by family, friends, and confrères: including former colleagues and graduates from The Aquinas Institute; and Basilian lay associates, Vilma Goetting (Aquinas principal emerita), Helen Lupochowyz, and Christine Grout. Current Aquinas principal and good friend, Ted Mancini, was also present. Father Huber graduated from The Aquinas Institute in 1981.
On Saturday, August 19, the celebrations continued in Novi, Michigan with a Mass in the Chapel at Catholic Central. Father Jeff Thompson, CSB preached, as he did at Father Huber’s first mass 25 years ago.
