Saint Basil Coffee Raises $500,000 for Basilian and Other Catholic Missions

Saint Basil Coffee has now given one-half million dollars in contributions to the Basilian and other select Catholic missions. The organization surpassed this significant milestone with a recent $5,000 contribution to Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the Basilian school in Cali, Colombia.
To maximize its contributions, Saint Basil Coffee is completely volunteer run with 100 per cent of proceeds from the sale of Saint Basil coffee going to Basilian (primarily) and other select Catholic missions. Since its founding in 2007 by Mary and Jim Boyles, parishioners at St Anne Catholic Church in Houston, Texas, at the request of Father Vince Thompson, CSB, Saint Basil Coffee has answered Pope John Paul II’s Call to Social Justice to help those most in need.
Saint Basil coffee is “Fair Trade” coffee. The coffee beans used to make Saint Basil coffee are purchased from small, independent coffee growers – giving them the opportunity to stay in business and to provide for their family. Saint Basil coffee is made from top quality organic Arabica coffee beans grown in the mountains of Colombia and is great tasting with a robust aroma and flavour. The coffee is roasted and packaged only after an order is in hand, making it one of the freshest coffees available.
