February 23, 2024

The weeklong Festival of St. Thomas (Jan. 28 – Feb. 2) has become a tradition beloved by students and an iconic week of celebrating school, and Catholic identity.
Hosted at Houston’s only Catholic university, the University of St. Thomas, the celebration begins on January 28th, the Feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas – the schools Patron Saint.
The week-long celebration is full of events organized by a collective of student organizations, university departments, campus ministry, alumni, and local community partner companies.
Beginning with a Kick-Off Mass celebrated by Father Rivera, students can participate in various activities ranging from pastry making to Laser tag.
In the spirit of St. Thomas, the Basilian-founded University is recognized as an institution that reflects the value of balance between faith and reason, and for 76 years successfully dedicated its efforts to build a community that grows strong in its love for intellectual and spiritual self-growth.
