Copyright Permissions Policy

The Basilian Fathers receive many inquiries seeking permission to reprint hymns from St. Basil’s Hymnal. Many of the hymns were printed in the Hymnal with the permission of other copyright holders. It is your responsibility to seek permission from all relevant parties, if applicable, before reprinting a hymn. The Basilian Fathers do not hold records pertaining to the original composers or lyricists of any hymns. Where no copyright exists, parishes are free to use hymns from St. Basil’s Hymnal, with proper attribution. Questions about The New Saint Basil Hymnal can be directed to the publisher, Willis Music.
